I replaced mine last year, as it would not start up at all. Called the Fantastic Vent people, a real pleasure to deal with. First they sent me a new selector unit for the wall, thinking that may be where the problem is. Stated that very rarely does the motor go.
I had one of the rare ones then. After replacing the wall unit, still no go, and I had diagnosed with my voltmeter. Sent me a complete assembly, and took about 30 minutes to install. It is still working, and I would not hesitate to contact them again.
I would give you their number, but I don't have it here at work. However, look on their website and talk to someone in customer service. Seems like it was Rodney that helped me last time, and called me back several times for updates!
