Board Games
The DW and I have recently bought and played some new board games and was wondering if anyone has more they would and to share? We now play Mexican Train you can play with up to eight players, and the grandchildren youngest one 5yrs likes to play. One more which uses cards I like is called Sequence, my favorite.

During our Good Sam rallies, we learned to play Jokers (also known as Bump). It is similar to the childs game Sorry except that is is played with cards instead of a spinner. We obtained a board for our daughter at Christmas and she loved it. It is played with 4 or 6 players playing both individually and as teams.

Skip-Bo is another good card game (if you can count from 1 to 12!)- we do play MT every Wednesday evening with our neighbors - Chuck is the champ - of course, there are many different ways to play - we play MT Express with 2 public trains -

Sequence and Phase 10 are our favorites. If there are only two of us--Scrabble. We want to try one of the new super-large boards. If the grandkids are on board--Milles Bornes. We gotta try this Mexican Train--it must be good if so many of you are playing it!

Bill and Pat, part of the enjoyment of Mexican Train is that you can jump in and make a mess of your opponent's train (line of dominoes). What's not to love?? We try to make sure that couples don't sit next to one another!

Our family likes Phase 10 also. As with MT we have two sets. Our adopted son is a fanatic ( and good).
Happy trails....................

When you play MT with two people it is almost impossible to go out is there a better way for two people.

We have played with two people, drawing proportionately fewer dominoes so it is easier to go out. Another version, which takes some concentration, is to play with two people, each one having two racks. Each player rotates between their two racks, taking a turn from each one, back and forth.
Don, it's not always about winning. It's the punches and kicks under the table. All in great fun, of course.

I just LOVE a good game of Scrabble!
Dano & I used to play alot of 2-Handed Spades.
Our "family" card game used to be called Shanghai
(which naturally now is known as Phase 10)
But I prefer our "own" game better with regular cards

Stiles,
Ed will give you a good game of chess if we ever meet up. He thinks I should learn but he has been playing all his life and I know I'll never get as good as him! We have one grandson that does pretty good also.
Happy trails......................
