Weee!! Made IT
Well we did it. It took a year to sell home and get rid of the STUFF. We closed Feb. 15th. We are now fulltiming. Debt free and building for full retirement.

Fantastic!! We aren't far behind. June 1, is Dianna's retirement date. We hope to shorten that year to no more than six months. We would like to be totally on the road by January 1, 2006. I am already out of here in my head. Makes it hard to get too serious about anything. I guess that would make us "shorttimers".

OK
We get the 3400RL second week of April. (If the factory fulfills their promise.) Then its three weeks of "fast Cruise" (for all you non-sailors, that is like getting underway but keeping tied to the dock (at a local military campground). then its 2 weeks with the wife attending the LPGA championship at Williamsburg and the 5er at Cheatham Annex. (like underfway trials) I will still be working.
Back to home while the house sells then on to the US Open at Pinehurst, then who knows where ever.
I have had a special truck box made that is just 14 inches high, 25 inches deep, and 50 inches wide. It fits behind the fifth wheel hitch right against the truck tailgate. A sheet of metal mounted on the tailgate and fitted with foam gaskets seals it up when the tailgate is closed. I put a lock on the tail gate. We put our golf clubs in there. Its just like having a trunck on a car. I had a local ironworks shop make it, welded seams, about 1/8th inch thick clod rolled steel, painted black using sprayin bed liner paint, so it matched the truck bed. weighs about 60 lbs. Bolted to the floor.
Of course I have a low profile box in front of the hitch for my tools, etc. This is also black to match the truck bed.
Another advantage of the 3400RL is the low toungue wieght. You can carry a lot more in the truck bed and not exceed the limit.

Boy, I sure am getting ansie (thats an old term). Expect the new 3400RL will be at the dealer on the 5th or so and will try to pick it up on the 11th or 12th. We intend to take two days for the PDI.
