AC dripping during rain storm
Well I love my Montana and would buy another tomorrow if I was in the market but my AC was dripping water when it was raining. I took it apart to see if the bolts were loose and the seal was not compressed. I find that one corner was not compressed at all, the other 3 white tabs were touching top and bottom. I go to tighten the bolt and I realize there is no bolt, they only used 3 bolts to install the AC on my roof. So, now I am thinking they forgot one right, guy installing it just made a mistake. When I tried to move a bolt from another corner to that one I realize the nut Colman installed on the AC is not threaded, now that is totally Coleman’s fault but Keystone should not have continued with the installation if they can only get 3 bolts in. Shame on you Keystone!

Any chance you can buy a kit and thread that nut, assuming the nut is attached to the AC unit?

Sometimes I'm just speechless at some of the things folks find on their campers that was done when manufactured. This is one of them! Sheesh!

No matter the brand name, when it comes to our pride and joys, life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what your gonna get.
Good luck and let us know the resolution you come up with.

It should still be under warranty being a 2022 unit. Start the process to get the AC replaced.

Yes, bought a tap, tapped threads, could not find the bolt so cut an all thread road and put a nut on it. Buy local they say but nobody sticks anything anymore, everybody says they have to order and you have to wait. I made my own cause it is a travel day tomorrow. Thanks for the support though!!!

I fixed it, tapped threads in the nut, bought an all thread rod and cut it to 8” length, screwed into the new threads on ac and put a nut and washer. I will probably order the actual bolt on Amazon as no camper supply place in phoenix has the bolt.

Make sure you don’t over tighten and compress the gasket to much that will cause it to leak
