OK, my gray hair might be in the way ... what is P/N - source for the lift supports for the bed? I looked high and low using search. Bail me out, please.
Thank you,

These 'struts' are actually called gas springs, which will make searching easier. Here is a page that has a cross reference search you can use to enter your existing part number. https://www.geminigassprings.com/pro...ession-springs You also could go to most any auto parts store that can get you what you want.

I recently upgraded my bedlift gas springs to accommodate a heavier mattress and used hatchlift.com products. I bought a complete kit that included all mounting hardware since I had to rebuild the platform too. They also sell replacement springs individually. I was impressed with their customer service, I actually talked to a knowledgeable human on the phone; their shipping was fast and prices seemed reasonable. These are generic parts, don't go through a Keystone dealer unless you want to pay a lot more.

Get the part number off the existing lifts. Then search amazon for that part number.

We have a heavy King mattress and an additional memory foam topper and foam egg-crate layer. It has never held itself up, and I store thick dowel rods under the bed to hold it up (after a very heavy lift!) I never even thought to upgrade the lift cartridges until I read this thread! I'm so glad I read these daily emails every time--I have learned so much from you more-experienced RVers! (I would say "gray-hairs", but I resemble that remark!)
I just ordered a set of replacements from the Evil Empire (Amazon) for $63, the "heavy-King" 150-lb size. Storage should get easier to access soon!

Since I have to leave my bed platform raised when the slide is retracted for travel, I found some mechanical locks for the struts. I got them from Amazon and they're CTA Tools 5360 lift support clamps and they were <$15 each. Just for added insurance, I'm going to make another prop out of a dowel rod or maybe just a piece of 2X4.

Gas spring won't close
Bought replacement gas springs for bed in 2011 Montana 3150. I got 100 lb to replace the 80 lb. Installed and new ones won't compress to close. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I replaced mine with heavier ones in the fall. The only thing I can think of is that the piston rod end must be lower than the barrel end. I don’t know if that would make the difference though. If you have them mounted correctly, I don’t know.

I have mounted them with the same ends from the original using the same mounting brackets and screws. I have tried both ends up and down, same results won't close.

Just replaced mine today with a set of 150 lb. Struts. I have a super heavy king sized Necter mattress and I needed the extra lift. Got them from Amazon and took all of 10 minutes to install.
