I put money down on a factory ordered 3855BR in January at Lake Shore RV in Muskegon. I just took ownership last week, the dealership showed me the change in price for my model from January thru April, and it had increased in price by about 12%, and the dealership honor our contract from January. Might not be Keystone, but a dealership issue.

I suspect that this is the dealer as well. Our dealer did require a down payment to order because our unit had the $20k Super Solar option. But, there were no contracts, just a handshake deal with a company that I trusted. They have done a good job for us.

We ordered a 2020 3121RL in Feb. of 2020. We paid a $5,000 deposit and signed a contract. Received a 2021 model at the end of June and the dealer (Camping World) honored the contract price.

I think if it was me, I would try and work with the dealer and insist on getting the rig for the agreed-upon price. Price increases are real, and inflation on everything is now upon us. If he cancels the deal, he will just have to negotiate a deal elsewhere, and the negotiations will start at the “new” higher price. If that doesn’t work,!he could still call in the lawyers and pull the plug. Then the lawyer can pay for HIS new RV.

Prices are going up daily. I believe your contract was with the dealer, not Keystone and Keystone and all the others are raising their prices monthly.

Please watch: for an insight into today's RV industry.

Threatening litigation only works if you are prepared to do it. It would cost far more than the $3K price increase. No one is prepared to do that. Lets get real here. Frustrated, yes, I get that. The OP needs to check his contract regarding pricing. They always have a "clause" in there to protect themselves.

Doesn't look like the OP been back since original post, so he may not have seen everyone's "advice". Time to move on.

Send a message via AIM to northern lights
If you have a contract for a specific price offered by the dealer for a specific unit that you signed & it was accepted by the dealer, then the contract price as stated is what you pay. That's unless the contract has a clause specifically stating that the price can be increased at the dealer's discretion. That would be a foolish contract to sign though. Most people don't read contracts that they sign. They can contain surprises if they're not read thoroughly.

I recommend that you either try to get a free attorney consultation or pay for a one time consultation.
Often a letter from an attorney to a business threatening to exercise all your legal remedies for a breach of contract will be enough.

I would call Keystone and talk to them about it. It may just be your dealer trying to get more money, or knows he can sell it for a higher price if you back out. The dealer has the latest price when you sign the contract and any price increases by Keystone should be on new contracts one ones in place.

Looks like the OP is a hit and run. They didn't come here for help, they came here to vent and try to blame Keystone for a dealer issue. Too bad. They probably have no idea that their rant on this site has zero impact on Keystone and they missed out on some good input and advice.

Send your concerns to Keystone corporate or better yet, have your attorney file a breach of contract law sue.
