Made the big switch

On Feb 20, 2005 we (The wife Julie & I ) purchased a new Monty 2955 at the Big-E show, traded in a large pop-up, going up today to Diamond RV to get hitch installed, will pickup 5er next week-end. Plan on mostly weekend camping for now with vactions included. Plan on keeping until we can full-time in 9-10 years. Excellent message board.

Congratulations on your purchase. It's quite a step up from a pop-up to a Montana, one that we hope you will enjoy immensely. Welcome to the forum. J.

Welcome Warren to the MOC Fmily.

You have made an excellent choice in the 2955. The 2955 is one of the more popular units in the Montana line and we know from our own personal experience you are going to love it.

If you haven't already found one here is a PDI (PreDelivery Inspection) Checklist. Make copies of this PDI and take them along when you are scheduled to pick up you rig. Before the paper work is finalized do your own. Inform the dealer that you will not accept the rig until you have completed the inspection.
Better to find any problems while it is still in the dealers posession and not in your driveway or out on that first camping trip.

Warren, Welcome to the MOC!! Congrats on your new wheel estate. May you enjoy many happy miles. Do follow Glenn's directions in using the PDI checklist. This will help you catch most of the problems before taking delivery. I must add that we have had very few problems with our Montana and have been very impressed with the customer service both from our dealer and from Keystone. Be sure to keep us posted and share your adventures.

Congratulations and welcome aboard, Warren and Julie! The 2955 is a beauty, a popular model, as Glenn noted. I hope you find many years of contentment and enjoyment with it. Enjoyed your website, by the way.

Congrats on your purchase. You'll love your Montana. As a driver you will be pleased at the way your rig will handle. Maybe we will bump into you this summer. We plan to spend a lot of time in Ct. at Highland Orchards and along the coast. You have a lot of camp grounds around you to choose from.

Welcome from another couple with the 2955RL. We are retired, but are not full timers, and never intend to be. We find the 2955RL to be just right. We have just returned from a weekend trip to Austin, Texas. Hope you enjoy your Montana 2955RL as much as we do ours. Let us know if you have any questions or problems to which we may be able to respond.
