Generator
I am trying to buy a generator that will run my AC and refrigerator in my 3931FB Montana if the power goes out in the campground.
The one I am looking at says the plug is for 15 amp maximum, but the lady at Harbor Freight said I could use an adapter to go from 50 amp to 30 amp and plug that in.
I want to make sure this is true before I purchase it.
I have attached pictures.
Thanks!

I'd go ahead and spend the extra for the predator 3500 invertor, that doesn't look like an inverter generator.

Plus I think the one you're looking at would be pretty loud.

Most campgrounds have banned open frame generators because they are too loud. So you likely would not be a happy camper when they shut you down, not to mention the campers next door having to hear it.
You need this gen https://www.harborfreight.com/3500-W...tor-63584.html

Spend a little more money and get the Predator 3500 watt inverter generator. You will be much happier.

I have yet to see where this Predator generator produces pure sine wave power. I see terms like "simulated sine wave", "clean power" or low "THC". If one isn't concerned about the quality of electricity they put into their rv then this generator should be fine. If one wants to remove all doubt about having safe power, buy a pure sine wave generator. There is a reason for the cost difference between inexpensive and themore costly. Quality of electricity is just one reason brand X generators cost less than brand name units.

Here is a forum about the 3500 and someone testing the predator sine wave. With picture, and discussion.
https://www.airforums.com/forums/f44...-169569-2.html
I have 2 of the HF 3500 and run them in parallel to power the entire coach. Never a problem work great no issues, had them for years.

I did modify the exhaust to divert it away from the front of the unit. It now goes over the truck bed and down and out. Extra step for safety.

Same here, a bit more money but can't beat the quality.
