Biloxi Miss.
Our time here in Fredericksburg is up on the 5th of Feb. and we are headed for Cajun RV Park in Biloxi. It looks like a real nice park just across the street from the beach and free Wi-Fi. Any info on the park or the area would be appreciated.

We go over to Biloixi quite a bit since we have roots there. We have been by the park many times but never stopped in. You will be looking at the longest man made beach in the world or at least I'm told.
The best way to come in off I10 is I110 which goes all the way to highway 90. 90 is a fourlane highway that runs along the beach that is well know for accidents so be careful. If your coming in off 49 I would take I10 east to I110. When you come off I110 go west.
We will probably be going back toward the end of February. We usually stay at the base if there are openings.

Oh the pix you see in my profile was taken at the Casino Majic RV park in Bay St. Louis. The park is great and offers shuttles to the Casino. Bad part is it is long way from the Biloxi Gulfport area.

Fredricksburg is one of the best towns I've stayed in and the poeple at Fredericksburg RV Park are great. Linda flew in for a long week-end and loved all the shops on main street. I went to the Pacific War Museum today and had a great time, I had no idea that anything like this was in Texas. This place will definitely be on my list as a place to come back to soon.

Native Tex, we stayed at Fredericksburg RV Park and had the same great experience as Bill. We chose that park because of the wi-fi being available. That park is relatively new and does not yet have a lot of trees. But we were there in February and wanted the warmth of sunshine, not the shade of trees. There are two or three other very nice parks in the area, including the KOA and another called Oak something.
Bill, we agree with you. We spent two weeks there and would like to go back. So many great things to see and do there, many off the beaten path that you wouldn't know about if you weren't there.
Native Tex, if you want some ideas what's available to see, click the Our RV Travels link in my signature, click the 2004 postcards link. The pictures and narrative for the Fredericksburg area are in the Feb 9th through Feb 18th, 2004, postcards. Like Bill, we very much enjoyed this area.

Oakwood RV Park is also nice, it is on Hwy. 16. Large shade tree's and swimming pool. Some rallies were held there I think...group from RV.Net. Kerrville is nearby and a very nice area also.

We're in Fredricksburg now, but we're at the Lady Bird Johnson Municipal park, just south of town by the airport on 16. Nice big sites, big trees and full hookups with cable TV for $20. A fine golf course is part of the park, too. Hard to beat. We also went to the Pacific War museum today, great spot.

NativeTex, Looks like every RV park in Fredericksburg has advocates. It just so happens that we have stayed at the KOA a couple of times and found it entirely acceptable. I think the reason we made that choice had to do with location on the East out on the highway coming into Fredericksburg. We have never stayed at the other RV parks, but have heard from friends who have that they are also fine. So... you have several good options.
I might say that the last couple of times we visted Fredericksburg we were actually staying in the Inks Lake State Park near Burnet, Texas and just drove over for the day. For some views of Inks Lake and the Hill country you migh visit one of our pages on the internet: http://dw4u.net/Inks/InkThumb.html

Bill,
We have stayed at a nice rv park in Biloxi twice, but cannot remember the name for sure. It was across the street from the beach and fairly close to the Casino's. The park was very clean and well maintained, paved streets, grass at most sites and park host were very nice. The park was very close to a Ramada Inn if not mistaken.
Enjoy!

Nkwist, we didn't find the park you are in until just before we left. I agree, it's a nice one. We didn't find an objectionable park anywhere in Fredericksburg. They all were nice.
