Hey this is Dick&Deb--anyone know what TV source my tv needs to be on to access & watch the dvd player? RV has an Irv 32 radio--I was able to run an optic cable from the sound bar to the TV, and got my Bluetooth set up with my iPhone--but can't watch dvd yet. Lot of thing to learn...

It will be HDMI 1 or 2 depending on which plug it is hooked into.

Newbie
Just bought my first RV, its a 2109 Montana 3854BR 20th Anniversary Edition. I am sure I am going to have lots of questions, like where is the cable booster located, It is not behind any of the TV's. Can't hook the cable up till I find it. I live in the NW corner of New Mexico, I am a nurse, and looking forward to traveling and having some good times in my new RV.

Wecome Steven--Deb and I just joined yesterday---maybe some of the experts here can help you. I have a question for the group---how does my fridge get power when we are driving and going down the road. The people we bought or 3811 told us it ran on propane and electric and it automatically switched over?? I don't think they used this rig very long as I think the fridge is elec only.? Does the power cord hooked up in the bed of the truck when we are driving provide power to the fridge or are the batteries keeping it on?? Thanks

Your 3811 should have a residential fridge which only runs on 120 volt electricity. When you are not on shore power, your inverter takes 12 volt DC power from your battery bank and coverts it to 120 volt ac to power your fridge. The cable to your truck will keep your battery charged assuming it is working properly.

New rig
Hi Gutz and Deb from western Oregon. We have a 2017 3810, similar except for the fridge. We really like our 3810, especially the front window. I've done quite a few changes, so any questions you have, just ask. Are they still putting the fireplace in the bedroom? We took ours out and remodeled the cabinet into storage. I've also redone the bed platform. Plus changed the way the bathroom door hangs/works. Got rid of that blasted pivot. Many other minor changes, if interested just ask.

We have a 2018 3810MS. We have the second fireplace and love it. I rebuilt the bed platform so it fit the mattress but have no issue with pivot door so it is the way it came. I had to revamp the cable system as that splitter/switch mounted behind the docking station was messing with my satellite system. Added a pure sine wave inverter so we can use the TV when boondocking. Added a vacuum outlet near the storage compartment door so I do not have to climb in the storage bay to vacuum my truck.

Gutz and Deb,
Congratulations on getting the Montana. Now go out and check the tires. If they are Trailer Kings (or other Chinese tires known as China Bombs) put on a set of good trailer tires. Recent bad experiences with the tires that came with my Montana suggest I should have done that as soon as I bought our 5er. I recently bought and mounted the Saluns S637 tires but read through the tire comments and make your own decision.
Good luck and enjoy the new home-away-from-home.

Hi Terry and Patsy!!---Funny about the BR door--it's the one thing I wish was different--Deb likes it though.. Did you change it to a pocket door??? Fireplace is still in the BR....we spent the first night in our rig last night---I can see why you would want to change the bed platform--what did you do to improve that?? Thanks Dick and Deb
