our first rv

I'm Bill Hornkohl. Me and my wife Deb are the proud owners of our first rv. We bought a 2003 Monty 3670RL that is parked in Jellystone Park in Wisconsin.(with a shed deck and golf cart) We are from Northlake Il. which is a few miles west of Chicago. I'm a retired bricklayer (40 years) and my wife is retired from Sams club. I believe I have a pretty good understanding of the hvac, plumbing and electric systems in residential applications. However I'm finding this rv stuff is a whole different world. This forum and countless youtubes have us off to a good start. I greatly appreciate this forum and hope my newbee questions bring back some pleasant memories of others beginnings.

Welcome. Hope you have many years of great memories. With it being an older unit , hope all the bugs are worked out as these new ones have plenty of them. This forum is like a World Book Encyclopedia. This forum can most times identify the problem and you-tube show you how install if need be.

Good to havDo you use blak tank or plumbed direct?e you on board - heat is less of an issue for you. I'd be interested in MODS the previous owner did to make cold less of an issue. Have they added insulation anywhere?

Mods

We use the black tank and pay to have it pumped out when needed. I think it is like $15.00 . As far as mods the previous owner did I can't say. I haven't found anything yet but then I don't know if I'd know it when I saw it. Next week I have a guy from a rv dealer service dept. coming over to do an exterior inspection. I will see what they recommend.
