Water Heater
What is the correct procedure for the water heater usage? Can it be used in electric and gas mode at the same time for faster recovery, or only one mode at a time? I have always used electric only when connected to shore power, but have been told by others you can use both modes at same time. Thanks for any clarification you can give.

I also use both when we are showering and then turn the gas off after. Faster recovery this way.

We also often use both modes at the same time, particularly if the water source is really cold.

We use both modes to shower you get a much faster recovery time then we shout off the gas and just use the electric. But we were in a park one time that I think the water coming out of the service was hotter then the water in the hot water tank that was in AZ!
