Air Conditioners
We just purchased a new 2017 3820fk and we are having cooling issues. The units are called the whisper quiet air system. Just didn't realize they also are only a whisper amount of air being forced out of the vents system. There is not enough air flow to cool this unit. It has been back to the selling dealer twice now for repairs. We purchased this July 31 2017!
Can't use it at all for its intended purpose.
Anyone have thoughts or ideas?

Had same problem, the return ducts were smashed not allowing enough air flow. Put in a 2ft long piece of flexible tubing about 1 1/4 to 1/2 in diameter. Ac works better but the main unit still freezes up in the afternoon. Search for other posts as others have had the same problem.

By the way did you push the piping in just to increase the opening in the duct work? I.e. Just to hold it open further? Not actually connecting to either end?

Tubing is just to keep the duct open. My opening at the register I couldn't even get a finger into the duct.

Same here. Put short tubing in to open it up over the filters, cut every other rib out of the AC vents in several places and run the units on high.

We had the same problem with are new HC 353 RL. Unfortunately this is a common problem with the whisper quite system. There are a ton of threads dealing with the fixes. I took it back to the dealer and finally got it fixed through the warranty process. They re taped the plenum box, added two more return vents, added two additional drops and added the the 1 1/2 pvc pipe.

Thank you all for the info. It is just sad that keystone does not have better quality control. Does anyone get results if you contact them directly? We purchased this unit in Grand Rapids Michigan. We live in central Illinois. No one here had what we wanted. Have already gone back to them once since bringing it home. No one local will work on it for us since we "did not buy from them"

Happy camper x2
After your fix how is your air working for you?
If you were in direct sun at 80 or 85 how cool is your camper?
We bought our Montana to visit the south west. Arizona California etc. As we know the way it is working now it is basically un useable!

the tech at camper world wanted to add four dumps instead of two but keystone would only approve two. I had him mark where the next two would go for future if it's needed.

3820 FK AC Question
I've had my 3820 FK for 2 years and always wondered about the AC not working well even after the Draper Utah Camping World on 2 warranty visits said everything was just fine. I got into the ducts today (thank you everyone who has posted those solutions!) and found the bedroom returns totally collapsed. But I also found something else. The AC unit in the living room isn't pushing any air to the 4 diffusers in the living area, only a little to the two ducts in the kitchen. I saw some comments in another thread about the diverter box not being properly installed so the air just goes into the ceiling voids? Does anyone know how I can tell if if this is what's going on? The bedroom unit is pushing air to all of the vents in the rig.

I found that my AC units were not aligned properly on the roof cut outs.

I think they work better now, but have not been in any real hot weather. I do know they still "freeze up" if I try to run the fans on auto; have to put the fans on high to keep them working. I also had to open up my return ducts.
