Photobucket images - not for forum use
Recently the image hosting service Photobucket changed their terms of use for account holders and no longer allow embedded images to be displayed on forums. As a result the forum had many threads lose their photo documentation.
Moving forward we will disallow links to Photobucket and ask that you store your images with the posted text that they were intended to augment, here on the forum.
Forum members can store images posts and threads using the attachment option found in the advanced reply editor or in photo albums set up in individual profiles. There is no cost to store images here and this will ensure that your content is not diminished by an image hosting service changing their minds about how your content is handled. Thanks for understanding

Thank you for providing that capability. Photobucket had gotten so corrupted with advertisements even before the latest change, that it was a real pain to use. Glad to get away from it.

Hi
Been in the IT business ever sense I was invited too interview with Bill Gates in 1970.
There is a cost to the forum for storing photos you will find this in the future.
There is no reason not to allow offsite storage if the poster prefers.

Hi
Further to Photobucket and third party hosting.
Photobucket has not discontinued this practice they have started charging for it and is not cheap.
This further backs up my previous statement that storage space is not inexpensive.
I don’t recommend the forum administrators to disallow the offsite storage of photos it will raise its ugly head in the future.

I am on another website regularly that members post pictures on. I have not checked it out, but they have all gone to one called "Imgur".

It is not disallowed - just links to embedded photobucket images as they do not display. There are several excellent image hosting services out there. That said, we have a robust server and plenty of headroom for image storage.
They can be attached at the end of post or placed between text using the paperclip icon like this:

Hi
There is no reason for the forum to disallow Photo Bucket links. Photo Bucket will no longer provide the link unless the client pays for it.
So the problem from this point on will correct its self without the forum taking any action.

Thank you! We appreciate all the improvements you have made to this forum and now being able to store images right here.

thanks to management for hosting the photos locally! it is very disheartening to be reading on a post that says
"look in the picture at the arrow and that is where you will find the cause of the issue, its an easy fix!"
and all you see is a broken link or graphic stating that the content is no longer available.

Janet,
I am trying to attach a photo to a private message and there is no paper clip nor advance options available in the reply box. How do I do it?
Thank You

Unfortunately you don't. The Pm function doesn't support attachments.
There is a work around (sort of) you can embed an image that is already visible somewhere on the internet (or here in a photo album) by using the the little icon that looks like a mountain.
