Independent Suspension
When we are hooked up to the truck, the passenger side is 1-1/2" lower than the drivers side.
Any ideas or suggestions of what could be the cause of this?
Should we be concerned taking the Big Sky home from Florida to Maine?
Thanks.

Is it truck or camper that is low on one side?
If it's the camper check the springs and hangers on the low side. I could be a spring, shackle or hanger. If that is the case it needs to be fixed before you go home.

I would check to make sure one of the springs on that side hasn't failed.

Call Rob at Moryde and ask him. He might make that old fart Jim crawl under to check the rubber shear springs. Mine was a little lower but after talking to him he wanted pictures to confirm everything was ok to tow.

Thanks to all!
Thanks for the responses and suggestions.
Larry,
Jim has been in touch with Rob at MorRyde. The grumpy old man has crawled under the Big Sky and has taken pictures. We forwarded them on to Rob this morning and hope to hear back soon. Jim didn't see anything that he thought looked wrong. No cracks, thickness looked the same on all pads... So we will wait and see what Rob has to say.
What was wrong with your RV when you had this problem? How was it resolved?
Hope all is going well with you and your lovely wife... Next year, planning on another trip out to your side of the country..

Marge I did not change anything. You could be heavy on the low side. I went back and looked at the weights at each wheel when they did the install at Moryde and found out I was a few pounds heavy on the low side. If you are heavy you might be able to adjust with the bolts that attach the shear springs to the swing arms. I think they have about a 1" of adjustment.

When we had the IS installed in May 2017 - the trailer frame went up 2 to 3 inches. Morryde had to lower our 6 point leveler units 3 inches. IS THIS NORMAL ??
Now our new Glow steps are to short and do not set level.
Also there are times the tires are off the ground an inch or two when leveling the trailer. THIS DOES NOT APPEAR RIGHT.
DON'T ask my wife Janet if she is happy with the IS system and if they are worth the investment.

Our trailer rides about a 1" higher after the install. I was hoping it would go up at least that to level my trailer. I do not know what axels you had on the trailer but they might have installed a heavier I/S to carry the weight which would lift the trailer.
