Welcome aboard Vicki! Does this mean that you will now be a two laptop computer family?? Or, does Steve just learn to live with bruses on his left side as you elbow your way to your computer????

Vic ... We learned a long time ago that it's impossible for us to be a one-computer-family ... Steve just doesn't share his toys well!

Gordon and Vickster -- Vicki has her own laptop. She claims I don't share well. The truck has one, too, for its gps. My career back in my working days was in computers so we've alwyas had a few around the house. Our youngest son is a techie type in his job. When I helped them move almost a year ago I counted 13 computers in that house, including file servers, print servers, their 4-yr old's computer, etc.

Sooooooo, are all these computers networked so you two can "talk" together while you are in Monty??????????
Ahhhh, just thought of an old adage ..... "the family that computes together, stays together" !!!!

No, not really. They were networked when we had the stick home but I had some wi-fi problems that were fixed by killing the internal network and I never went back to try to get it working together again. So we just forward emails to each other. Sometimes I'll xfer files with a jumpdrive.

If you meant in our son's home, yes, those are all networked together with different purposes for each. He's even tearing down walls in the basement and the new walls have ethernet cables for networking and the walls themselves have network jacks, believe it or not. Nothing serious going on there! But then he's a networking specialist by trade.

Well, Glenn, the way we're sitting here right now, Vicki is online on the dialup (instant phone at the site) and I'm on the wi-fi!
