My wife, Kim, and I are new members to the forum and are looking forward to learning more about RVing. Four years ago we bought a used 2010 Montana 3455SA and a 2006 Silverado 2500 Duramax to pull it. We're nearly empty nesters, but a long way from retirement, and are looking forward to getting more use out of the RV in the near future. We absolutely love our Montana and have learned a lot from trial and error over the past four years (not too many errors thank goodness). Prior to the Montana we had a HighWall Pop Up Camper for a few years. When we decided it was time to upgrade, we jumped right into the 5th wheel, primarily because of the fact that I am tall and I bumped my head on the light fixtures in nearly all the travel trailers we looked at, not to mention, I've only seen queen beds in TT's.

A few things that I've been researching and hopefully will implement in the next few years are:
Water Softener
Solar
Auxiliary fuel tank for truck

Looking forward to researching this forum!

Welcome to the Forum! You will find out nearly anything you want to know about your Monte at this site. If you have a question, ask away and someone will answer and hopefully it will answer that question. If you know the answer to another members question jump on in there and give us your knowledge. You just missed the MOC Central Plains Regional Rally. We've held it in Nebraska for the last six years and get MOC members from all over the nation to join us. Watch for postings here on the Forum for other Rallies and if you can make it to the Fall Rally in Goshen, IN in September think about signing up and joining us. It's a great informative Rally and you'll get to see where your Montana was made also. Again, welcome to the Forum and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Yepper on the water softener. There are some places, like one campground in indiana, where the water was nasty with a capital N! And the softener will clean it up. Other places the water varies in hardness and it is nice to have soft water. It is easy to live with one and not a pain. John

George and Kim, greetings from central Arkansas. We hope you find what you need here on the forum and contribute as well. If you have the time, join us in September at the Rocky Mountain region rally in Grand Lake, CO, it's just up the road from you. I think the deadline to register is within the next week or so, so if you're interested, check out the rally section on the forum.
