THis is my first 5th wheel. I made a comment in another area of this form must have done it wrong. Lets see what happens here?

Welcome! We are relatively new to RVing and have found the people on this forum to be very helpful. If you get the opportunity to go to a rally - do it. We attended our first one a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing time.

Kenny, go to this page: http://montanaowners.com/
Print a copy of the PDI and use it as your guide for the walk through with your dealer. It will help insure you ask the right questions so as to have a full understanding of the systems in your 5'er. Welcome to the forum and good luck with the new rig. Jim

The idea here is to keep each posting on topic. In other words, we try not to introduce a new question/problem/concern into an existing topic. Doing so makes following and subsequently finding the discussion more difficult.

You did the correct thing by posting a new topic for your question. As you progress in learning the forum you will learn there are different categories available for discussions such as: "General Discussions about our Montanas", "TIRES, Montana Tires", "Montana Problems, Problem Solving & Technical Help", and "Forum Information and Help".

Hang in there and you will soon be an expert. And welcome to the forum!!

As indicated, do a careful PDI and take someone with you knowledgable about fifth wheels if you are not comfortable doing it yourself. Congrats on the new rig.

As a new Montana owner, you couldn't have picked a better place to learn about it. I doubt there is any problem you'll run into that someone here hasn't been through already and have a solution for. And no question is too dumb to ask. Welcome to the forum.

I forgot to mention, although your new unit is not one of the heaviest, be advised the tires that come with your new rig are not of the best quality, and a blowout can cause lots of damage to the rig.

Welcome to the forum, you'll find many helpful people here. When you do your PDI be sure and take your time and don't let the dealer rush you. Besides what's on your checklist look for other things that might be wrong. You never know what might have happened during delivery or whenever. In our case our one of our landing gear legs was cracked and would have been delivered to us that way.
