Campground recommendations
We are planning our summer trip.
We are leaving Arizona 1st of June, and going to Glacier Park.
We have stops planned, and are missing a few more. Any recommendations and tips will be greatly appreciated.
So far we are missing somewhere to stay halfway between ft. Collins and the tetons. We were thinking Rock Springs WY.
Also a recommendation of a campground at the Tetons.
We have reservations at Yellowstone the end of June for a week.
Then we thought go on to Glacier. We need a recommendation of a campground there.
We have not planned a return trip yet. Any tips?
Nice to be retired..

When we went to Glacier NP we stayed in Hungry Horse at Mountain Meadows RV park http://www.mmrvpark.com/ it was good access to the park and nice and quite. When we go to Yellowstone we stay at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park http://www.grizzlyrv.com/ again good access to Yellowstone NP and to town. Have fun!

Near Glacier -
We stayed on the East side at the KOA. Pretty good with services. We stayed on the West side at the Columbia RV Park. It was clean and good too.

I am with Fire5er: Mountain Meadow at Hungry Horse--a great campground with one of the best layouts for sites.
We have stayed at the KOA at Rock Springs, just because we needed an overnight on the way. It served that purpose well.
Colter Bay Marina and Campground in the Grand Tetons is one of our favorites in the whole country.

Thanks. Padredw, do you have the web address for colter bay? Is it the Colter village and rv park? Also do they take reservations?
I made reservations for july at mountain meadows, thanks to both you and fire5er.

Yes, here is the website for the full hook-up RV Park (the one in which we stayed) although there is also a portion of the park which is for "dry camping." The reservation number is on this website.
Happy Trails to you!

We picked Columbia Rv park on the west side for our trip this year. We will be heading there after stopping in Cour d Alene for 4-5 days. We will be there July 8-13 I believe. See you there..

Anyone else have any recommendations on campgrounds near Glacier? Mountain Meadows is full for the dates we need.

Never mind. Found a place called Sundance. Looks good, and they had openings for the dates we needed.
