Los Suenos in Santa Fe

We are here for 2 weeks+--a few other Montanas in the park. We are in Site 21. The aspens on the road to the Santa Fe Ski area are starting to change colors. We went up the hill on Tuesday and found a few at the top. From Santa Fe, it looks like more color today--so we will go up again on Friday.

Are you still in Santa Fe? A little cold front coming thru, should really trigger the colors, if they haven't started big time yet. Enjoy your stay.

Not in Santa Fe--moved south to Alpine, Texas. The drive thru NM and TX oil country--Artesia, NM to Ft. Stockton, TX is really something. I don't drive 70+ mph--but everyone else seems to think that is OK. Glad to be off the oil patch. If you drive that way--the wide loads will take up about 90% of the road--lucky of us--they were stopped when we passed thru.

Yep I can relate to the oil patch traffic, I live in Roswell. Have fun in Alpine and don't forget to go to Marfa for the "light" and the Prada store. Enjoy and be safe in your travels.

We'll be heading up north of Santa Fe toward the end of next week. Would like to see Bandolier, but doubt it will be open so Joyce is just going out in the desert to paint where Georgia O'Keefe painted before we head for Arizona.
