GREEN HORNS ON BOARD
Hello every one. Great forum. My name is Erich and my wifes name is Claire. I'm finishing up a 25 year career in the Navy. We got the notion of getting a fifth wheel while we were traveling across the country tenting on a PCS move to our new duty station in WA. We couldn't believe how nice the rigs were. We shopped around and looked at many types and styles. We bought a 2004 MONTANA 3295RK and couldn't be more excited. Having never owned a trailer, we are figuring out how every thing works, and planning our first trip. This site has already given us so many great ideas and things to watch out for. Thanks to those who manage this site, and to those who post on it.
Cheers,
Erich & Claire

Welcome to the forum. Plan to bring that new 3295 to the rally in Sept. There are lots of 3295 owners here. Congratulations on your new rig. Stay with us. A lot of members are on the road.

Welcome aboard Erich and Claire! Enjoy your new 3295RK and have fun learning all about it. We had lots of fun boondocking in our backyard while we became familiar with our Monty resulting in a smooth first road trip. Happy trails ....

Erich & Claire,
Welcome to the MOC forum. Thanks for taking the time to post. You have chosen a great unit! We love our 3295RK. Have had it just over a year and have done mostly weekend and vacation RVing, but will soon be hitting the road for longer trips. Tom is retired USAF and is currently in the process of retiring from Delta Airlines. As soon as we sell our home here in GA and Tom recovers from a recent surgery we will be loading up the Montana for many happy miles. Hope our paths will cross somewhere down the road.

Welcome aboard, ericlaire! Hope you enjoy your 3295RK as much as we do ours. We love this 3295rk. The one "weakness" we found is for entertaining. The downstairs floorplan isn't real great for that. We just visited RC and Samantha (meeting them for the first time!) and saw how they rearranged their furniture and did the same thing. We since entertained our daughter and s-i-l and found this change to be excellent. And excellent for other reasons, too, at least for us. What they did was swap locations of the easy chair and the dining table. It sounds a bit odd but wow what a difference. Probably not to the liking for everyone but thought I'd mention this option to you. By the way, I unscrewed our dining table from the floor way back when Vicki discovered how sloppy an eater I am and decided we need throw rugs under the table. It rode just fine in its original location and also in its new one.
Enjoy your Montana.
