UPDATE 9/26:--- 64 RV's have signed up so far, which is a very large number of participants. Therefore, in order to expedite choosing and stealing of items, the participants need to choose quickly. If the chooser takes too long, something will be chosen for them. This will allow the wine and cheese to get set up in a timely fashion.

Please make sure you bring a gift of the appropriate value, which is concealed from view. Choices will be made without touching the items.Again, we request that you not bring a gag gift.

All those interested in participating in the White Elephant gift exchange, please sign up. You must have a gift for the exchange, or you cannot participate. The gift should be valued between $10 and $20(max). Please no gag gifts, or something of very little worth, as the rules include 2 potential successive "exchanges" of each gift after they have been chosen the first time. There will be one gift allowed for each RV, not each individual. The gift must either be wrapped or in a paper bag or decorated bag, hidden from view by tissue or newspaper or something, so the item is not visible to any who are viewing the gift selection. Please think about the fact that this is not an activity restricted to those of the female persuasion, so gifts can be gender neutral or even something that would appeal to guys.
When all of the participants have handed in their gifts to be placed on a table, then each RV representative will draw a number out of a hat. The hat will contain numbers equal to the amount of RV's participating. This number will be the order in which each RV rep will choose a gift from the table. The second through last person can either pick a gift from the table, or choose a gift that has already been chosen and unwrapped. A gift that is "stolen" two times after the original pick is then out of play and is a permanent possession of the last picker. More details on organization will follow.
