Kevin and Beth-- Is your Carbon Monoxide detector battery powered or run off the 12 volt system on the Monte? In either case, it could be a low battery either within the unit or a low battery on your Monte. That's what I would guess anyway but I'm no electrician so I'm sure there will be others along with better ideas.

Low battery? If you are not plugged in and that battery gets low, that CO detector will go off and go off and go off, till the battery is DOA.
At least on our model and year. New stuff may be different, aka, your mileage may vary.

Ours started that recently too. It continued to do so after replacing the battery. On one of the labels it mentions that unit needs to be replaced when there is a double beep. I'm going to look into replacing it when we get home next week.

Our CMD has a life cycle drop dead date. It dropped dead 1 yr after date on unit. No battery problem, it had to be replaced.

Some units have a circuit that makes it beep when the unit should be replaced.

Just had to replace ours, but your unit is too new for that (in theory anyway). I'd call the manufacturer.

Beth&Kevin, you didn't state how old your unit is, but I had to replace mine in my 2006 Keystone Outback about a year ago. I just went to my local discount home improvement store and purchased a replacement for around $20 including batteries. It even fit on the previous existing mount. No muss, no fuss, and no more noise!

It's not how new the RV is but date on CMD. Mine had a drop dead date 6 months from when we purchased the RV.
