The new ForumCo software does not support Avatars at this time. We were upgraded to the newest version because we are the largest and busiest ForumCo account they have. They have made many changes in the last couple of days and then our forum and some others started getting time out errors and members were having trouble logging in. With this new software all of those problems should be solved. As with any change or improvement there are usually some concessions involved. The Avatars are one of those, along with Private Messages & the Spell Checker. To view a members picture you will have to click on their User Name.
We are very hopeful that this new software will be more user friendly.

Avatars will eventually be included in this version of the software along with Private Messages and the Spell Checker. It's just going to take a while as they need to upgrade all the other forums they service first.

Thanks for the info on the new system. We just returned from a 2 week trip and the forum was changed. I couldn't find the private messages area and I thought I had screwed up again! Thanks TrailerTrash for asking and admin for setting us straight. We really miss the private messages and hope they will be up and running soon. We've made some great new friends thru the messages and miss being able to keep in touch.
One other note, as I have been logged on for awhile I am finding that when I try to send a message to a forum topic I often get an "error" message page and the message won't go. Is this a problem with the new system? Or is it AOL? It's very frustrating to write a great message, try to send it and have it come back "error" and not sent.
Keep us posted on the "fixes"

# 29 fans,
I think maybe you just need to clear your cookies under your internet options. The cookies for this new software and the ones from the previous version are different and we actually are with a different server with a new IP address as well.
If that doesn't help, please do let us know here. I will be checking in the morning and then when I can throughout the work day.
