Keeping track of your receipts with Lemon
I just downloaded a handy app on my iphone, called Lemon. You actually take pictures of your receipts and it categorizes them and offers a very handy way to keep track of expenditures.
I am impressed, but sometimes way to easily. But it works for me.

Looks interesting. I down loaded it to check it out. Lowes just came out with something similar for keeping track of things you purchase there. It will even keep The formula for the paint you buy in case you ever need it again. Its called My Lowes

Yes, I just recently obtained the Lowes card. They also give the Veterans a discount. We took a handful of receipts my wife had purchased and they allowed the discount on purchases we made a month or two ago.

Wow!!!! That's cool. I know at Home Depot and Lowes both, if you show them your ID card (active or retired) they will give you the discount, but you do have to ask for it and show your ID.....they will not ask you. Several other businesses will provide some sort of Military discount if you ask.

Even if you are not retired you can get a VA Card and Lowes will honor it. Keeps you from having to lug your DD-214 around with you. However, at our local Lowes, just wearing a veterans hat will get you the discount if you say you are a veteran.

I ask EVERYWHERE if they give a military or veteran discount. Some will ask the manager and he will say yes or no. It doesn't hurt to ask and every little bit helps....

I found out a long long time ago that the worse you can get for asking is a "No." So I ask also.
What is frustrating is when I go someplace and I don't ask and the automatically give me a "senior" discount. That just isn't right. They should ask me if I need a discount, right?
