New and first time Montana owners.
Hi everyone,
I joined this forum knowing that we wanted to get into RVing and we picked Montana as the one we wanted... but we didn't even have the truck yet.
After reading yur posts, and looking at many floor plans, we finally ordered our new 3625RE. It should be ready by the first of October, I can't wait.
We would like to take it up to Cambria Ca for our first trip. Does anyone know if a nice camp ground up there?

Hope you enjoy your new Montana when you get it.
We stayed a San Simeon State Park in Cambria, we could see the Ocean from our spot.
The only thing is we used our Honda 2000, they do not have hockups.
It is on HWY. 1 between the Castle and the town, we really enjoyed it.

DebnDan,
Congratulations on your new rig.
Regarding Cambria, CA as your first trip. Your choice appears to be limited to parks in either the Morro Bay area or the Hearst Castle area. There are some state parks in both areas. There are several commercial parks in the Morro Bay. They are pretty nice parks too. The most complete park is probably the state park in Morro Bay. They have some full hook up sites. Make sure you get a reservation well in advance of your anticipated visit. Same thing with the San Simeon park just north of Cambria. We stayed at both parks and both are good parks. San Simeon does not have any FHU sites. The San Simeon park has two parts. There is the part near the beach and hiway and then there is the part on top of the hill. You get a great view from the sites on top of the hill.
Good luck and enjoy your trips. Dennis

We stayed at Cypress Morro Bay RV Park 2 years ago for a month, very nice park and walking distance to the beaches, wharf, restaurants & shops. Also you can purchase fresh fish at the wharf when tnhe fisheran come back in in gthe afternoons. I have links to my pictures from there under my signature, 2nd link I believe.
