New Montana Owner!!!

Hi All!!

My wife and I just bought our second RV, First 5th wheel. We just went all out and bought a brand new Montana 3580RL with the Hickory Package. The funny part about it is that we just went into the dealer and wanted to see the floor plans. They had this unit marked down so far that we just couldn't walk away from it. We get to pick it up this Friday. I drop my trade in trailer and my truck off on Wednesday so the dealer can put it the B&W turnover ball and Companion hitch in. I will be towing the new luxury home with a 2006 F-350 4x4 6.0l diesel CC LB DRW. I can't wait to take our first trip in the new home in two weeks. I will post some pics of the new setup when we get it this weekend.

Congratulations on your new home and welcome to the forum. I lived in Placerville for 20 years. It's a pretty part of the country.

Funny how those pesky RV sales people don't know what "just looking at floor plans" means...

Great! Here's hoping that the new Montana exceeds all your expectations. If you do run into a bit of trouble, this is the place to get a lot of good help. You will find some great ideas for add-ons and upgrades too. Happy RVing.....................

Thanks everyone. I can't wait to pick it up. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve waiting for the morning.

I have heard so many good things about the Montana brand. We love the look and feel of these units as soon as you walk in the door. I hope for years of pleasure in RVing with my wife in our Monty!!!!

It's a good looking setup! You will enjoy your travels in comfort! We've had ours for 2 months and love it. One note - check the shocks on the storage doors and make sure they are 60 lb. They put 80's on ours and it pulled the hinges right out of the doors - twice before they changed them out for 60's. Now they have to replace the door. Not sure if the extra heavy duty ones were a mistake or new feature.

Enjoy your travels!
