Noisy Range Hood, Different Approach
Many here have complained that the range hood is too loud. On this forum and others, everyone seems to gravitate to an electrical solution involving two speed switches, resistors, computer fans, etc. all which wimp out the fans ability to do it's job.
The range hood has a large 3 bladed fan, very noisy. The standard bathroom fan is a five or six bladed fan about 1/4" in diameter less than the range fan. Swap them. They each pop off their respective shafts and snap right back on the other shafts. You can do it in about two minutes. You won't believe how quiet the range hood becomes and how much air it moves. You will transfer some of that noise to the bathroom. Who cares about a noisy bathroom fan, you probably could use a little cover up noise anyway. Try it, if you don't like it, just swap them back.

David is right, a six bladed fan is much quieter.

Do not mention that to DW, my list will last for three camping seasons already!!! But I do admit it is tempting to buy an extra blade and surprise her with it!!
