I read with interest Jim's (Ozz) post on the Dometic. Many don't know that there is a recall on both the Dometic and Norcold refrigerators.
Someone mentioned that they had their Norcold Recall done 2 or 3 years ago. The most recent Norcold Recall is back in the Fall of 2010. The newest recall changes the thermocouple in the stack that feeds the black box cutoff should overheating occur.
Please, please, if you own a Norcold check the
Norcold Recall Web site for guidance on seeing if you are affected.
And if you have a Dometic, please check their web site for recall updates.
Your life could depend on it.
Also, check the NHTSA RV items and you will find things like this:
QUOTE:]Certain Keystone RV Co. (2011) Sprinter, Cougar and Fuzion travel trailers equipped with Siemens and Murray one-inch plug-in circuit breakers. The “spring clip” plug-in assembly may break or fail to provide sufficient force to maintain a proper electrical connection in the panel board.[UNQUOTE]
Remember SAFETY.
