14 day limit of stay at Plomosa Road?
From what I can gather, the Plomosa Road area is part of the free camping around the Quartzsite area, and not part of a camping by permit LTVA.
So, how strict are they on the enforcing of the 14 day stay in a 28 day period in the free areas. What does everyone do when they come around and invite you to leave? Is a LTVA permit valid at the "Circling of the Montanas" if they are sticklers on the 14 day limit and you want to be there for more than 2 weeks?
Just curious.

KTManiac,
You are correct the Plomosa Road camping area is a 14 day limit zero fee. Technically you should move at least 20 or 25 miles away from your last camp site. In reality many folks end up staying a few days or weeks longer. But one year the ranger did ask some folks to move on. If I remember correctly Mel and Joy Thompson had arrived at the circle just the day before. So, of course, Mel was a bit ticked when they asked him to move on!
They ended up working things out. Or at least I think they did. Normally if you keep a low profile they really don't hassle you. And the majority of campers move on before the time limit runs.
Hope to see you at Q. Dennis and Mary Kay

HI
Happy new year to you all.
Re 14 day stay at Plomosa rd.
I am at plomosa now arrived last knight for my second stay this season.
Here is what I know , Last year the fellow (ranger) was to lenient. and was moved.
We now have a new Ranger in this area. His Name is Jim.
Jim told me this morning when he was checking up that he was going to enforce the rules more closely this year.
Jim also told me that I would have to move out for 14 days if I wanted to be here for the MOC Group meeting.
which means that I will me moving in the morning for places unknown
Ha Ha. Yes I will move over the hill to the Havasu side of the hill.
This area is controlled by Yuma BLM and Lake Havasu controls
the area ten miles out from Hiway 95 so over the hill I will go.
will be in the Bouse area. then come back on or about the 15th.
Rick

We do the same as Charlie. The day we come in is always a bit hectic so we wait a day or so before we check in officially. Usually that is no problem. Hope to see everyone soon.

Don't worry Jack I didn't know you had to register so guess we were illegal. I will file it with the always warm weather we where told that is there (remember Tuesday). We will definitely return in two years when we retire. Have fun.
