Mark,
Courious, when did you order it, I've had mine ordered since April 12 and still do not have a firm date when it is supposed to be here.

Mark
With it's CGI block and 2 complete and separate cooling systems and transmission capable of handling 1400 pound feet of torque.
This could be the best tow truck ever built!

Congratulations, you're going to love it. Make sure they top off the DEF. I have less than 1800 mi. on mine (700 towing) and the message center stated DEF less than 1/2. All the information says it should last about 7500 mi. the oil change interval (less if towing or hauling). Perhaps mine wasn't full. At $6.00/gal, I never thought to have them check.

Bill: You need to talk to the dealer. I ordered mine in june picked it up july 7 least than 4 wks. I installed a 5th air borne sidewinder pin box. The Monty is alittle high in the front anybody else have this problem with a standard pin box.

Mr. Collier, I didn't order mine. My dealer found it for me at a dealer in Mesquite, TX and traded for it. They gave me a 2011 F-250 to drive over the week-end. I think it's gonna be good. Just couldn't handle 8.5 mpg pulling the 5er with my 2010. My 2006 6.0 did better than that. Can't wait to tie the Monty to her and she how she does. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I will try to get a picture on here sometime. And yes Lynwood, Ford may have hit a homerun with this one. Oh Rich they did say the more you pull the more it will use. And the way I understand it, if you run out it shuts the truck down.

MAMalody,
DEF is diesel exhaust fluid. It is injected into the exhaust stream to convert NOx into nitrogen and water. All part of the new pollution requirements, 5gal tank, with the fill located next to the fuel fill.

Gary, It is my understanding that the reason mine is taking so long is what I ordered, they were apparently having problems with there suppliers getting some of the parts.
I just read this morning that Ford is increasing the ratings (software update), they are now putting out 400 HP and 800 ft. lbs of torque. This puts them ahead of the Duramax. The article also said that a re-flash will be available the end of this month for anyone who has already taken delivery of there 2011.

Mark Does your Monty run level or alittle nose high. I put a 5th airborne sidewinder pin box on and its alittle high in the front. Talking to the dealer now about maybe lowering the rear.

Thanks Jerry.
No Gary, it rides pretty level. It might be a hair high in the front but not enough to matter.
