Our 3400 is right behind the return air grill under the stairs, but it's not consistent across models, or even year. The early 2007 3400s had them above the W/D closet (tell tale sign is a vent in the ceiling over the W/D indicates the converter is up there.

Our 07 3295 has it behind the fuse panel and circuit breakers located it the bathroom. You can access it by pulling the two panels.
For safety make sure the 110 is unplugged at the pedestal and the battery negative is disconnected.

Our 07 3400 has it behind the fuse panel and circuit board over the toilet...same as H. John Kohl.

Thanks, I think I saw mine when I was checking terminal tightness. Didn't know what I was looking at. I thought a converter would be larger than the unit I saw.

I have a 2004 2980RL and wonder where mine is too? I want to add the smart charger option as I just cooked a battery.

Dan-- Keep me informed on where you find yours! I have the same year and model and would like to find out myself! Have never really been out and out looking for it, to tell you the truth!

On my 2005 2955rl it is located behind the IOTA fuse and breaker panels below the pantry. I have an IOTA DLS-55 installed in mine but it does not have the dual voltage jack. One would assume that the smart charger is built in but further discussions with IOTA engineering I find my converter does not support the smart charger option even though their technical documents state the DLS-55 does. So be sure you check before ordering the smart charger option. Some DLS-55 converters support the option through a remote attached adapter, some have it internally configured and others, like mine, don't support it. If you question if yours has it or not, contact IOTA engineering and have the serial number along with the model number.
