NewComers - AK bound
We're new to the Montana Owners Forum, but not new to the Montana. Recently moved up from 05 Mountaineer 348RLS to 2008 Montana 3400RL "10th Anniv. Edition". So far, love it!! 2003 GMC Duramax 2500HD ("D-MAX" we call it) to drag it all. Retired from aerospace business Aug 07 after a military career in ARMY aviation. Hoping to make the trek to Haines, AK and Seward, AK from our home in Colorado next August for a few weeks. Does anyone know if the Montana Owner's Club has any groups headed that way??

Welcome blyle to the MOC family.
Most every year some MOCer takes the Alaska adventure. Maybe not as a group but individually for sure. Hang around I am sure someone will be jumping in to explain their Alaska intentions. You never know you maybe able to form your own group.

Welcome to the forum! Bernie and I live in Seward and right now we are expecting several of the couples from MOC to stop by in the next few weeks. Let's see, David & Jo-Anna, Bob & Pam, DHenry, and Kwolff7 are already on their way and in the state. There may be others, I don't remember. Let us know when you get here and we'll get together.

Seems to me there could be a Caravan arranged for the trip north, maybe everyone going could meet at a common CG and travel together. Sounds like a ball to me. Maybe meet in WA and travel from there.

We'll keep our eyes and ears trained on the MOC Forum to see if others have an interest in caravaning north to AK next summer. The idea of meeting up with folks in a CG in northern US seems like a good one. As first timers RVing to AK there would be some benefit to paying attention to folks that have "been there done that".
