Moving couch
I am thinking of replacing the couch in my Mountaineer 297RKS. I was looking at it and it seems to be loose at the wall, but attached at the front of the couch. I looked and could not see any brackets. My question is has anybody replaced their couch and how is it attached, with screws or just nailed in.

Not a Mountaineer owner but ours in the old Monty and the new one were just sitting there with nothing holding them in place.
Speaking of couches, check this out....

The couch in my Mountaineer was not attached with anything. I moved it over on the wall next to the door from the slide for a while then put it back when I traded it in.

Same here -- the couch in my Mountaineer is not fastened down. As a matter of fact we move it all the time. We put those plastic furniture sliders under the legs, so we can rotate it 90 degrees when we use the sofa bed. That way, you can get by the bed to go to the bathroom. It just barely fits without hitting the dinette chairs.

The couch in our 2003 3295RK had "L" brackets attached to the floor the the lower frame members of the couch. This was on each end, underneath the seating area. In our 2007 Montana the couch was not fastened down.
