Lakeside RV Park, Elephant Butte, NM
We are here for a month. Very, very nice park, reasonable, and friendly people. This park has three unique areas we have not encountered before. There is a garden in the center of a small area and 5-6 rigs circled around the garden. It is so much nicer than the side by side line up. We are in site 42 if anyone is in the area.
Happy trails.....................

Sue,
How is the water level? Last time we were there you could get full hookups so close to the water you could step out the door into the lake. I have a feeling drought has changed that?

Brad, you're thinking of a different park. This one is not anywhere near the water.
Sue and Ed, we've been in that park several times. My best man (and his bride) at our wedding live in Elephant Butte. We'll be there again in mid-December but it sounds like we'll miss you.
By the way, they participate with Passport America, also, although that doesn't help on the monthly rate. We agree it's a very nice park. Also, we were also very pleased with the management.
Have fun!

We had a great visit with John and Marianne yesterday and another Montana couple (next door) who are from Michigan but don't have a computer. Ed had on his MOC T-Shirt when he went to the store yesterday and a gentleman talked to him and said he was a MOC member but not staying at Lakeside but Ed didn't get his name as they were talking trucks. So he is a mystery man.
Happy trails....................

John and Marianne, we plan to arrive on Sunday, 12/12. We extended our stay just a bit so we'd be sure to have a chance to meet you. We'll be there three nights. We'll also be visiting with the friends who live in Elephant Butte. This way we'll have time to do both. See you next month.
Sue and Ed, I wonder if that mystery guy happened to be our friend, Darrell, who lives in E.B. He has a Montana 2880RL. I don't suppose you'll still be there when we arrive on 12/12?

We love this place and our site so much, we have decided to stay another month or more. Hopefully the winter will not be bad. We may go to AZ in Jan., not sure yet. Took a day trip to Las Cruces today. Shopping, banking, eating, not very exciting except for lunch at Red Lobster. Have a trip planned to Silver City next week.
Happy trails..................

Syplace, my brain was napping (again) when I wrote the dates in that earlier post. We arrive at Lakeside on Sunday, 12/9, and will be there three nights. See you soon!
Sue and Ed, we're looking forward to seeing you two again, too! It does get cool there (altitude) but nothing really bad. I think from what Darrell has told me they get an occasional dusting of snow. He's lived there a long time.

Sue, if you have time and want a great green chili hamburger take I-25 north to exit 139 San Antonio and go to the famous Owl Cafe. We took the Monty down to Alamogordo over Thanksgiving week and stopped there going and coming back.
Safe travels.

Ragdoll, San Antonio, NM, is the birthplace of Conrad Hilton, too.
We left Lakeside RV Park this morning after staying 5 nights (planned for 3 nights). We had enjoyable visits with Syplace and Parrothead. This is our fourth time in this park. We have good friends in Elephant Butte. It's a very nice park and they give Passport America discount (50% off the daily rate) for as long as you want to stay.
