Water Leak
Went in the Montana today after the heavy rain stopped and found the bed wet. Looked around and found the water had dripped down from the tv antenna. This is the first time it has done this however this is the first time the antenna was up when it has rained. Anybody else had that problem ?

Dennis, I would pull it all out and check the seal/feed through gasket, or whatever it has. I haven't heard of any problems. Winegard: (800) 788-4417

Their is a rubber boot on the top of the antenna plate where the TV cable comes in. Sometimes this boot will ride up on the cable and rain can get in. Just push down this boot and all should be OK. I also put some caulk on it to hold it in place, stoped my leak. Good luck!

We did the same as RonS about 3 years ago and haven't had the problem since--and we have survived some pretty serious rainstorms across the country.

Dennis,
You might consider taking that antenna off. I read somewhere that the signal is no longer going to be broadcast after sometime in early 2008.
If I'm wrong, maybe someone could chime in and clarify.
Only 96 days until the Quartzsite rally.

There it is...a little squirt of silicone under that boot and seat it down.

And while you're up there...check the seals on the top of your slides.
Mine shrunk a little and weren't getting proper coverage. I stretched it out a little and put a short screw on each end. Be careful you don't pull too hard, or it moves the other end and you won't be able to get it far enough for both ends.
I used those screws with the washer head so it doesn't run through.
Nice to know it's a done deal.

Thanks to RonS and others I fixed the problem today. That is what I love about this forum. Looks like this is something everyone needs to do before you get a wet bed.
This is what I found.

Robbie, I have read that some folks use the same antenna with the digital tuner and analog tuner and are able to receive both regular TV and HD TV. Some folks have reported that in some areas where they receive a poor analog picture, switch to HD using the same antenna and they get a very good HD picture.
Here is CW's Winegard Digital HD Receiver that uses the same antenna: http://tinyurl.com/2bgjkd
Here in the stick house I still have the old "Spokane Special" antenna (20 years old) and I receive both analog and HD off the same antenna.
