New member last month, never introduced us.

Hi, I'm Jim the good wife is Joan. We retired January 03 and have been living in a stick house and traveling with our tag-a-long. This spring we took a little trip and after about 6 weeks realized we didn't want to come back.

We ordered, and received on 10/31, our 07 3400RL with all the bells and whistles. That gel coat looks great. We have our house on the market and as soon as it sells we are on the road fulltime.

We aren't new to RVing, the 1st was in 1969 and have had one ever since. We have had most types, Class A, tag-a-long and now the 5er.

I am retired US Army and second retirement from United Technologies and of course the SSI is nice. We have been reading the forum and have learned a lot, and have been amused also. So thanks folks, keep up the good chat, us old folks appreciate it.

Jim and Joan
2001 Dodge 2500 Cummings
07 3400RL.
Won't list the extras but it is extensive.

Someone tell me how to post a picture in our signature and I will post something that probably looks like me but has nothing to do with what I think I really look like. Joan looks the same both ways.

Welcome to the MOC. Don't worry about how you look in the picture Jim. None of us look like we think we do in pictures. I can't figure out who that woman with all the wrinkles is in my mirror! LOL
Happy trails...........................

Welcome Jim & Joan,
You're going to love full timing in your new rig. We've been at it for only six years but have loved every minute of it. If there's anything you want to know, just ask here on the forum. Someone will have the right answer.

Glad to have experienced road folk in the forum. Many of us are newly involved in this mileau. I was a backpacker before the fiver. We decided to do the OJT approach to learning and fulltiming. I figured I was too old to spend any more time acquiring experience before launching. The forum has been extraordinarily helpful in facilitating trauma avoidance. Further, the ingenious, synergist, creativity of these gracious members has led to useful upgrades. Looking forward to your posts and the array of experienced insights that surely will fill them.

Welcome! As a retired Army guy, be sure to check out the military installation FAMCAMPS for places to stay while traveling. Good benefit. Clean, relatively inexpensive, safe and well maintained.

Safe Travels!

hey patodonn, did you know that most Army famcamps honor the golden age passport from the national park service. Can get up to an addtional 50% discount.. Not bad for a $10.00 card. You have to ask, it's not honored by all posts. The other services don't offer the discount.
