Weight Specs on new 08 Ford F450
I was just on a Ford site and they have a link to the 2008 specs.
I tried to copy and paste but it would not work. Anyway the F450 will have a GVWR of 16000 pounds and a GCWR of 30000 pounds.
I guess Ford is watching what some people are pulling out there and has upped the capability of it's new line of trucks. Good Deal.

If the new F-450 has 19.5 tires, larger springs and everything else for increased load capacity, it would seem the bed height would be higher than the F-350. How would the 5er be level and not be nose high?

Many of the 19.5 tires are not much if any taller outside diamiter than some of the stock options offered now.

Check out the latest edition of Truck Trend magazine, there's a great article on the new F-450s. It will only come as a long-bed dually. Sounds like a great rig, even to a died-in-the-wool Chevy guy!

Well with GCWR of 30K I guess one would have to have CDL's to drive it then since it's over 26,001 lbs?

Also, the F450 is available from Ford with a pickup body. In the past it was chassis cab only and you had to get an aftermarket bed. Sounds like a smart move to me. High towing capacity in a pickup body and size.

Well I do have the CDL but if you are not commercial or hauling passengers I don't think the CDL is required...I could be wrong. That would be a really big truck.
