Chandelier Bulbs in 3400RL
Can anyone tell me how to remove the lightbulb out of the chandelier at the entrance. I have tried everything and do not want to break the bulb in the socket. It is only 1 of 3 lights that we have the problem with. Light comes on and off at its own leisure..
I have removed the glass globe and the plastic piece that screws onto the socket to hold it in place but cannot figure out how to remove the actual bulb. Are they threaded screw type or automotive pin type.
Thanks, Diane

Diane, If they are like the ones on my 05 3670 I THINK(for me that is kind of dangerous) they are automotive pin type. If someone doesn't come back and let you know for sure I will go out and check mine tomorrow afternoon.

If it's the auto pin type then you probably have to push it in, then twist.

We don't have the chandelier so I have exhausted my knowledge/guesses. I'm not ignoring you.

If these are the bulbs that are not round at the bottom but a thin rectangle (I don't know how better to describe it) they pull straight out - some are harder than others. We had several in our previous fiver including a small one that was the light in the exhaust fan over the stove. They are 12 V bulbs.
Happy trails.......................

dchafer, I just went out and removed one from my fixture above the door. It is an automotive type with the two pins opposite each other. Just push up on the bulb and turn to the left 1/8 of a turn. On the base of the bulb mine is stamped "cec 1076 china" I hope that helps.

gonfishin, just tried that and now I am partially blind. lol.
when I turn 1/8 to the left the lightbulb turns on... go figure.. but still cant get it to come out. it just barely moves. but I see it is an automotive bulb. I will get Dennis to check when he gets up from his power nap and will let you know. thanks for all your help.
It's the little things ,,, that drive you nuts. lol
Diane

Diane....Quick turn it off, Problem solved it works now LOL. Just kidding, Yes I have the same 3 light fixture over the door. Good luck with getting the bulb out it took some slight upward pressure and turning at the same time to get mine out.

gonfishin I sure would like to know who designs these silly things. They definitely dont have to use em. Dennis tried again after his powernap... no success. Sooner or later the bulb will break and then we will be in a fine mess.... Oh well... thanks for the help anyway... it was fun... P.S. I'd rather be fishin.... Diane
