Annual Keystone plant shutdown
Talked to Mark Krol yesterday, and he mentioned that the Montana plant will be shutdown from Fri, June 23rd @ 2 PM until 4:30 AM, Mon, July 10th for their annual vacation shutdown.
Not sure if anyone was planning a tour in that timeframe or not, but I suspect they may not even have any staff even answering the phone - not sure. Sounds like they are pretty serious about their vacation. I didn't ask if this was a Keystone "general" policy that affects ALL plants - I suspect it may be.

Dave,
That is one of the reasons that we are buying the Monty on the lot. If we had ordered from the dealer in Houston we would have to wait for the shutdown. If a hurricane comes in by August hubby will need to have Monty in our driveway.

Dave,
That's pretty normal in any manufacturing business, usually they use that time to do PM's in the plant or assembly line since they don't have any other "free" time to do so. I know a lot of hi tech companies do that as well.

I know what you mean Mac. Many companies call it a shutdown for "Inventory". Most of the workers call it a two week "Vacation". Many times they use the week between Christmas and New Years Day as this break time.
The reason I posted this was to give anyone thinking of taking a tour at this time a "heads up".

I also knew there was a shutdown, just didn't have the exact dates until yesterday. Originally, I was told it was the first week in July. That was not totally correct.

I was thinking that their emotions might be a bit more "elevated" than "bored", if they drove 10-12 hrs to discover the doors locked...
