Out Door Storage Question
Our Monty is stored outdoors and the driver side is exposed to the sun all day. Will the day-night shades fade through the tinted windows? Would it be better to covering the exposed windows with cardboard to block the UV rays during storage?
Thanks
Ed

If it were me I would look into the cardboard or bubble wrap reflecting material to put into windows. This would sure help save the inside material and curtains. The tinted windows will help knock down the uv rays but, will not stop them. I bought some of the "bubble material" and cut to fit for the back windows to use during the summer months. The rear of my coach faces west so I get the sun and heat right into the back windows every day, this has really helped with heat and uv ray protection.

How about foil? Would that work to keep sun from fading everything?

foil would work BUUUT, I was next t a unit with foil on the windows and as the sun came up they turned into mirrors reflecting right into my unit.

We use the reflective bubble wrap that you can get at Lowes, Ace or most hardware or RV stores. You cut it to shape just once and it is easy to put into the windows.( We have one for just about every window), when not in use they roll up or fold easily for storage behind the sofa.
This product is also a life saver for the real hot days as it works as an insulator too.

I use two large car window shades...and they work great ..they even came w/suction cups to hold to the window. I purchased these at The Dollar Tree so they were only $1.00 each.

Our Montana will be four years old in July and has lived outside its entire existence. During heat of the day the shades are down most of the time. I do not see any evidence of fading. Our windows are single pane and are not tinted. It wouldn't hurt to use foamboard or other method to protect them if you are concerned they may fade. We recently have taken to using foam board as additional window insulation on the side that gets direct sunlight but did not do this the first 3 1/2 years.
In other words, if there's been any fading I cannot tell it.
