WE'RE BACK!

After about a year and a half away from the forum, we just had to come back and touch base again. Not that we didn't like the forum, but our lives changed. We went from full-timing to managing a new RV Resort, and we now have our 1st year under our belt. I like this better than retirement, and Cynthia likes the extra paycheck! Although, she works hard for her share.

Montana is the most common brand in the resort. We usually have 6 - 10 in here at any given time. And I haven't found a Montana owner yet that is unhappy with his purchase.

Welcome back. Why don't you tell us a little about your resort? Always interesting to hear first hand about what is out there.

Good to see you back on the forum, Dan and Cynthia, although we've been in occasional contact by email. I take it you are still at the same resort in Washington?

We're still in Richland, WA: Horn Rapids RV Resort (hornrapidsrvresort.com). It's a 5 star resort that is almost 2 years old. It opened for business in May, 2004, and we took over management in July, 2004. We love the hosting game. We learned during our travels how folks want to be treated at an RV park, and we strive to provide that service.

Steve/Vicki: isn't Yellowstone Park fantastic in the fall?

No doubt in my mind you folks are topnotch hosts.

Yes, it was fantastic! We roamed all over that place during our month there. Even got to see a black bear crap in the woods, to answer that age old question! Poor guy must have had a bug.

You know, deep down I knew, I just knew, there was an answer to that riddle! And now I can scratch that "must find out about" off my list.

Our favorite time of the year in Yellowstone is late fall. We got to sit and watch 2 bull elk fight it out over a herd of cows. I kept looking at the cows and never saw anything to get too excited about, so I stayed out of the fight.

Hi Dan and Cynthia.....Hopefull we can get a chance to visit you. We normally will spend 6 or 7 months in the Spokane, Wa area so we are kind of neighbors. My brother-in law who also full times has been to Horn Rapids Resort and has mentioned how beautiful it is. He was very impressed by it. It sound like a wonderful resort. That whole area is a great place to live. Hope to see you all soon.......Les and Sue
