Will there be room if we decide to go?

I looked at the maps and read all the responses, most of you seem to have it all booked up. If we decide to go after the first of the year when we might know diesel prices and family schedules, will there be room for the rest of us who might want to come?

The sites may fill early so if you are considering that you might be able to come you should go ahead and make the reservations. If you cancel up to one week prior to your arrival date it will cost you $3.50 non-refundable reservation fee. They charged my credit card $28.50 when I made my reservation. I assume they will refund all but the $3.50 up to one week of arrival date. If you cancel within the last week there is another $5.00 fee.

That is the way I read the park information. Don Moore or Margee Hatton will be along to correct me if I have misspoken.

Kim,

They fill up fast as that's the first holiday weekend of the year after they open for the season. I know the last folks to sign up were placed in the 246-299 section as the few sites that were left in the 300 section wouldn't accomodate large rigs.

I'd suggest if you're considering attending at all you go ahead and make a reservation. Be aware also that they have applied to the county for a rate increase for the 2006 season to $29 per night for a full hookup. I imagine we'll find rates in all the campgrounds going up next season.

Please let us know of your decision.

Don

I was told the same as the above so we went ahead and signed up knowing that things could change to keep us from attending but we'd get all of it back except the $3.50. Steve and Kim, we'd like to see you again so hope you can make it. We're planning to be in that quarter of the country anyhow so are planning our travels to coincide with the rally. That makes the fuel bite a bit more palatible.
