I Quit
Ok thats what id like to tell my boss. We started are week long vac. on sat. and I dont want it to stop. Im so jealous of all the full timers out there, I cant wait to be one of you. We only have a week (have to get our daughter back to school) but loving every minute of it. On top of it all we stopped in nashville for a couple of days and right next door is a montata dealer (have the fever to get a FW) but my DW dont really want me to.

Im not trying to wish it awayjust want to enjoy it faster so I can retire. LOL I will be 47 when I do retire. Dont figure i'll quit working just work camping. LOve the outdoors and working with people. Looked at a real nice 3295rk today. BUt the dealer acted like he didnt want to deal much said he cant hardly keep them on the lot. Oh well ill get a new one sooner or later. They sure have got a lot nicer since the 2002 models.

I'm with you Powerstroke73!! Just came back form a vacation, and sigh, it's back to work. All the retired northerns are pulling into the park each day to begin their Winter Play!!
Consider yourself very fortunate to be retiring at 47. Lets just say I have passed that mark and have a way to go....

The medical insurance is the kicker. Otherwise, anyone could hit the road Workamping and be comfortable. I am setting up my retirement (I'm 53, wife 49) and the very FIRST thing I had to get squared away was my med ins. I did and I am (retiring Dec 1st). Wife promised the new owners of the resturaunt she waitresses/manages at she would stay thru next summer, till Labor Day. Gives us time to get the kinks out of our new 3400 we are getting in May. We are moving into it then.

Well we just got back from 8 days of running around middle and east Tn. We sure hated to come home, but work was begging us both to come back haha. We could stay out for ever. JUst a short while to go until we can full time.

The way to beat the dealer at that game is to order a new one rather than buy off the lot. If he won't give you a good deal when ordering one, then find another dealer. Just a thought.
Hang in there, you'll reach that retirement. One thing you youngsters should remember is that you have more of your life remaining, statistically speaking, than we old guys do. But, then, I don't consider myself 'old' at 58. But I **am** getting real close to my prime.
