We went from $2.89 yesterday to $3.19 today
Diesel went from $2.79 yesterday to $2.99 today.
Monday gas was $2.74 and diesel was $2.79
tommorow ?????? who knows.
My wife manages a gas station and said they just got a load of fuel today and her cost was $3.25 gal. so Im sure tommorow will be $3.45 or more.
Im glad I topped of my diesel tanks Saturday at $2.45 gal. (it holds 200 gal.)
Now if only I could carry that much gas and find a cheap price.

From Erie PA to western Ohio diesel prices were from 2.61 to 2.79. Just filled
up in Bowling Green Ohio at 2.69.
Didn't take much notice of gas prices except that they were all over 3 bucks.
Once again I am so glad I drive a diesel.

Just saw Atlanta prices have gone up over $6 per gallon due to no pipeline and supply may be shut off completely at some point. The west has always had the distinction of highest prices, but that may be changing.

Hey Dan,
Coming home last night went by the Cumerland Farms in Sabattus and it was $2.68. Left this morning to go to New Hampshire and paid $2.82 (said wow, should have filled up last night). Coming home this evening it was at $3.14 (said wow, glad I filled up this morning). I head up to Ellsworth tomorrow. (probably should have filled up this evening)

Saw the same report on Atlanta's $6 gasoline, looks like someone just woke up and realized the Colonial pipeline is down and can't be restarted. If they don't get it started soon, the refineries here in Texas will have to start cutting production because they can't get products to the east coast. Gasoline futures jumped .43/gallon on the wholesale level to $2.90 at one time today but backed off to finish the day up .17/gallon. The retailers are taking advantage, we are all going to pay for this storm in many ways.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me????? Am I reading $6.00 a gallon. Who's making the big bucks on this? We discussed this and if it gets to a certain point, no trip for us. I hope things settle down in the next few days. Hope the gov. is investigating the oil companies. Probably not.

Here in Ontario this morning gas was 99c a litre, later in the day it went to $1.20, then back to $1.04. Diesel this morning was 93.9 a litre, this afternoon 99.9. Not quite sure how the Oil Companies can justify changing the prices so many times in a day. I wonder what Friday will bring being that it is Labour Day weekend. I dread to imagine!! Diana

At a station about a mile from my high school, regular unleaded was 2.57 when I went into work at 6:40 this morning. On the way home a little before 4 p.m., it was 2.89. An hour later, it was 2.99. That equals 42 cents in one day. I also saw it as high as 3.29 at other stations and as low as 2.69.
Diesel is anywhere from 2.59 to 2.99.
These are sad days...

Glen said that fuel might just get so high that we won't be able to drive home. We'll just have to find a place and stay there. I suggested we make that decision when we get to Arizona in mid-October. Seriously, this price increase will certainly put a damper on the RV industry.

When we drove through Silver Gate, Montana about 2-ish this afternoon reg unleaded was $3.00/gal. When we drove back through on the way home, about 3 hours later, it was $3.20!!!
We've emailed our Senators (both the senator from Kansas and the senator from South Dakota) about this apparently out-of-control situation. It certainly couldn't hurt to get an email campaign to those who should be able to do something about it instead of just griping about it to each other ...

I'm afraid to see what gas price will be when I get home in two days! I left and it was $2.57 a gallon (the day Katrina hit) and now who knows!
I'll tell you one thing....that gas station in Atlanta price-gouging $6.00 a gallon for gas won't be in business long!

When we left Mt. Shasta on the 26th headed for Rapid City SD diesel was $3.199/gal. We paid $2.879 in Madras OR, but saw it at one station north of Klamath Falls at $3.289. Spokane WA, $3.049; St. Regis MT, $2.709; Hardin MT, $2.649; Rapid City SD, $2.699.
After reading the recent posts we hope we can afford to drive home in a couple of weeks and we're not even towing on this trip!
