Casino Magic, Bay St. Louis, MS
Returned last night from a weekend on the MS Gulf Coast. Unfortunately we did not take our Montana as we had three other couples joining us. We stayed at the hotel at Casino Magic and noticed they had an RV park near our hotel. On Sunday morning we took a walk through the park and were disappointed there were no Montanas. The park was very peaceful with lots of green space, nice size lots and even a couple of small lakes. Paved roads and concrete slabs for parking RV's. Full hook ups (water, electric & sewer). Did not venture into the showers and restrooms as we were not registered but they were very nice on the outside. We did notice a Good Sam Club sticker on the office door so am sure you can find this resort in your camping guides. Of course there was shuttle service to the casino, but it was also in easy walking distance. We would not hesitate to return and stay in this park.
The oldtown area of Bay St. Louis is very appealing. If you are ever in the area be sure to eat at Dock of the Bay restaurant, locally known as the Dock. It is owned by one of the former members of the musical group, Blood, Sweat, and Tears. The owner was there and certainly showed us true southern hospitality. The Dock is located on the water and dining is either indoors or on the deck with a great view. We had eaten here on a past visit and were happy to take our friends there for dinner. Food and service were great.
We did see a couple of Montanas while driving on the interstates in AL, but no response to our double flashes. Did not really expect it in the heavy holiday traffic and since we were not towing.
Can't wait for Tom to retire and take our Montana and spend some extended time in this area.
