I live in the finger lakes, so we have to go elsewhere because the grass is always greener on the other side, but here we go .
1. KOA on Grand Island is where we stay when near Niagara Falls
it is the best near the falls.
2. Spend one night and one day exploring Letchworth State park just south of Rochester, not sure about the quality of the campsite, but the park is very nice.
3. Then work your way east to the finger lakes, on a weekend day go south near Geneva on 14 or 14A t the windmill (farmers and flea market) just 3 miles south of penn yan on 14A
4. in the middle of the fingerlakes is what is reported to be a good campground in Canandaigua I think it is a koa woodalls book lists it
5. lots of shopping in little villages like skaneateles is fun, if you go there get a fish dinner at Dougs fish fry on Jordan road
6. for senic views go across route 20 and take side trips
for speed 90 (thruway ) is better
