I wouldn't even consider driving to Alaska...
without some type of air shock-absorbing hitch such as the Isolator or Trail Air, etc. We are near Fairbanks and have been riding over a road that feels like giant cobblestones, for over a day and a half. The bumps and ruts are almost continuous, or so they seem. I don't know what our trailer contents would be like without the new hitch. With it, there are still bumps, jarring bumps, to feel but the contents of the cupboards remain inside the doors. We do have the rods in the refrigerator and dish cupboards to help keep things inside. We have to be very careful before opening the slides because things that have never shifted before, are likely to be in the way of the slides. The heavy duty rubber shelving mats really help to keep things on the floor from sliding around and getting in the way of the slides. Our advice, don't leave home without one!
