Window water leak
When we purchased our 2005 3255RL last fall, we thouroughly tested the unit for water leaks prior to signing. We sprayed a ton of water over the unit, and blasted all the windows. No leaks at all. After 2,500 miles of towing and camping, we encountered a tremendous water leak at the bottom of the large bedroom window. I started to think about how the water could be entering the unit, and decided to check the tightness of the screws holding the window halves together. There are about 30 square head screws that bind the outer and inner windows halves together. We had about 10 screws that were very loose, and had allowed the window to loosen up enough to allow for water penetration. I tightened up all the screws and sprayed the window touroughly. No leaks! I then checked all the windows, and many screws were loose. I have concluded that the road stress on the unit, had caused the windows to loosen up. You might want to check yours before a leak appears. We were lucky that we were in the unit when the leak occured. It was a LOT of water that would have caused a lot of damage, if it had not been detected.
