I Installed one in My 3255RL.
I believe the problem lies in the stereo Keystone installed in our units. There is no built in A/B switch on the stereo unit. Some have suggested there is a switch on the ceiling of the bedroom. I didn't have one and I suspect they don't either.
I installed my switch in the cabinet above the sofa up near the ceiling.
The one I installed was an older version of this one.

Cost is $13 and a little speaker wire.
You will need some speaker wire to add this new switch. You'll have to unscrew the stereo and remove it completely. While you are in there uncoil the antenna that is coiled up. I ran mine through both cabinets one side of the antenna in the right cabinet and one in the left. I used a thumb tack to secure the ends to the wall inside the cabinet.
I can either have the bedroom speakers on or off, The living room On or off, and have both on or (off via the power switch on the stereo).
Its an easy install with common hand tools.
Good luck. If you need any other questions answered just ask.
